Find Your New Year’s Resolution Momentum Now

Happy 2023! I am very excited about this new year. But before we dive into the newness and what to expect, I'm going to take a pause and be transparent. I want to hear your thoughts.

Do you ever feel as though you're sleepwalking through life with no real idea of what you want and where you are headed? You're just not sure where the time has gone? If you are frustrated because you didn’t achieve your full potential last year or you haven't been able to stick with your resolutions or goals, then know that you are not alone.

If after six days you're one of those who are still thinking about what to do this year and how to move forward, then stick around to this episode because you are in for a treat.

How to Avoid Running on Empty

Research shows that typically less than 10% of resolutions are kept by the year's end and 25% of them fail before January 15th. This most likely has to do with our hectic modern life. We're so busy maintaining our complex lives on a day-to-day basis, especially as parents, we forget. We forget to truly connect with ourselves and the goals we had in mind. We run empty by the time the end of the month comes.

I know one of my challenges is when I have so much momentum to go for my resolutions, I forget to take care of myself.

To avoid this, we're going to learn how to focus our energy and uncover the secrets to balance.  We'll learn to incorporate and integrate our professional and private commitments, and ultimately gain the confidence to become the better version of ourselves.

For this, I am sharing the 30-day self-care challenge.

30-Day Self-Care Challenge

Let's take care of ourselves to take care of our goals and achieve them.

Follow me on Instagram so you won’t miss out because we are sharing a 30-Day Self-Care Challenge. When the new year comes, we're into our new habits and we're so into our new goals in order to achieve everything. But we want to remember to take care of ourselves because we deserve it.

Let’s start on day one which is today, the 6th of January. First, let's do a quick review of 2022 and learn where we are. We need to find out our current reality.  I am going to share a few journal prompts that can help you start toward your goals instead of procrastinating. This is not going to take you more than 15 minutes so let’s go!

Journal prompts to stop procrastinating

  1. Write down the top five happiest moments of the past year.

  2. What small things have you enjoyed doing the most during your day-to-day life?

  3. What did you do for the very first time in your life last year? Write down one or two things if you have more than one.

  4. Write down the top three things you're grateful for.

  5. Write down the top three life-changing experiences of 2022.

  6. Write down a personal highlight of the year.

  7. Write down a professional highlight of the year.

  8. Who has helped or supported you and how?

  9. Your top five to ten life or career lessons from 2022.

  10. What challenges did you face?

  11. What are you willing to leave behind?

Check out when I shared my top 10 lessons that I learned from 2022. I also wanted to share with you my top three life-changing experiences to give you a great example of my real-life priorities and how I made them work.

Number one: I finally hit the six-figure club! I made it a priority that I want to grow financially.

Number two: I now work officially for Jay Shetty Certification School where I was offered a paid opportunity to work with and for Jay Shetty at his in-house life and success coach community.

Number three: My vacation trip to India where I went for five to six weeks with my entire family. That was truly a life-changing experience.

Just like me, do these journal prompts to motivate you to stick with your new year's resolutions.

Key Takeaway

Our lessons from last year become a guidepost for us by showing us where to go and where not to go. You can view the challenges that happened with more clarity and can work on how you can achieve a more favorable outcome. It's important to make a list of tough situations and roadblocks that we've faced over the last 12 months and struggles that we've encountered along the way.

You can also decide what's the lifespan of those belief systems that are not serving you. For example, for 2023 I want to focus on human design and I want to be aligned with my highest self by living with purpose and with clear intentions. I also want to leave behind chasing others looking for external validation. I am super excited for you to do this quick review of 2022 so you can also learn to let go, have more clarity with knowing what we want to leave behind, know what we want, and cherish the lessons that we learn in 2022.

Don’t miss out next week where I will be sharing the action plans,  how to take one goal at a time, how to prioritize, and how to achieve your goals.

Another way to help achieve your goals is by joining The Parenting Lab, a parenting community that provides support for parents. We were never taught how to be parents, and that's why I've created this community where we don't have to feel alone and we can work together without sacrificing our dreams and desires.

You can join on the website or on the new app-based membership that will soon be launched! I truly believe that it takes a village to raise a parent as much as it takes a village to raise a child. This is the village that I'm happy to provide.
